In 2012, I arrived in the United States as an international student from Hong Kong, eager to begin my college journey. Over the years, I've called Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Washington DC home before settling in New York City.

As life moved forward, I found myself thinking about childhood friends, families back in Hong Kong, and college classmates now scattered across the globe. I remembered our shared all-nighters, exciting parties, and countless meaningful moments.

The truth was bittersweet—I wished I had stayed in touch. I realized that all I needed was a simple letter once a year to let them know I still cared about our connection. That's how DearYou, was born.
